LIGHT FADES |Textile| 2022
The project started with a report I read from a science magazine. It claims that some of the decolorations on the cultural relics exist because people are using flashlights to take photos of them. In this project, I observe different kinds of damages that flashlights bring to cultural relics and aim to use this project to draw people's attention to the preservation of cultural relics.

I used digital patterning in this project to laser-cut the pattern on my fabric. Each pattern has its specific position. I draw and then trace them in AI then apply them on patterns for laser cutting.
I applied reflective stripes on the garment to indicate the overlap silhouettes of the original western and eastern garments.
